She is preceded in death by her parents, Max and Sadie Tanis, husband, Irving, brothers, Philip and Charles Tanis, and sister, Dorothy Saeks. Helen is survived by her daughters, Marcia (Bob) Nacdimen and Sharon (Bruce) Thaler; son, Donald (Sonia) Kitain; grandchildren, Lisa (fiancé Scott Richmond) and Shelly Kitain, Stephanie and Adam Thaler, and Hali Nacdimen; sister-in-law, Louise Tanis; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday March 3, 2010 at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main Street, with Rabbi Sharon Mars officiating. Shiva will be observed on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at the Nacdimen residence and on Friday from 1 to 3 PM at Creekside at the Village.
